Types of Asbestos Surveys
There are two types of asbestos surveys: an Asbestos Management Survey and an Asbestos Refurbishment and demolition Survey.
Legal Requirement
An asbestos survey would be a legal requirement for buildings built before the year 2000; the use of all asbestos ceased in the UK in 1999
Asbestos Management Survey:
The purpose of the management survey is to aid the duty holder in preparing an asbestos management plan. To prepare the management plan, you must know if asbestos is in the building, where it is, and its condition.
We will survey your property for the presence of asbestos and gather the information to produce an Asbestos Survey Report.
Contents of our Asbestos Survey
The survey contains a summary detailing any asbestos found. A detailed drawing showing the location of all identified asbestos. An asbestos Risk Register showing the risks from any asbestos products and how to reduce the risk to the lowest level and a room register. The room register provides information on all areas surveyed and the materials within them, asbestos or not.
Asbestos Management Plan
An asbestos management plan is a legal requirement for any property other than domestic containing asbestos.
Asbestos Refurbishment & Demolition Survey:
An Asbestos Refurbishment and demolition Survey is a legal requirement to find the presence of any Asbestos Containing Materials before any refurbishment or demolition works take place.
Fully Accredited surveyors carry out all of our asbestos surveys
